Violin EXPO 2025

Nicola Lazzari was born in Desenzano del Garda (Brescia Provence) on 22 November 1961.
In 1979 be graduated at the international school of Violinmaking in Cremona under the guidance of master Gio Batta Morassi. 
After finishing the school he began his professional training in the workshop of Gio Batta Morassi where he stayed for approximately ten years. 
He currently works at Casalbuttano, in the province of Cremona, with his wife Migiwa Ito Lazzari.
His production of violins, violas and violoncellos, is particularly inspired by the works of Stradivari.
Nicola Lazzari has taught in a special course of workshop techniques at the Violinmaking school of Cremona.
In 2015 he was jury member at the 14th international Triennale competition of violin making in Cremona.
He is a member of the Italian Association of Violinmakers and Professional violinmaker and bowmaker society.
Since 2000 he is a member of the Entente Internationale del Maitres Luthiers et Archettiers d’Art.
 He as participated in various national and international competitions receiving many awards, the most important being:

1978:  gold medal at the 5th national competition Bagnacavallo.
1980:  silver medal at the 6th national competition Bagnacavallo. 
1981:  silver medal at the 6th Wieniawsky competition (Poznan, Poland) for the best varnish and crystal trophy for the youngest finalist.
1982:   finalist in the 3rd international Triennal of Cremona for violin and viola.
1985:  gold medal in the 4th international Triennal of Cremona for the best viola.
1986: finalist with a violin in the 7th international Wieniawsky competition (Poznan, Poland), with the highest score for workmanship 

1961年イタリア・ブレシア県生まれの弦楽器製作家。1979年にクレモナ国際ヴァイオリン製作学校を卒業し、Gio Batta Morassiに師事。卒業後すぐに独立をしつつ、約10年間モラッシ工房で経験を積んだ。1999年にはカザルブッターノに工房を移し、製作活動を続けている。製作学校で特別授業を担当し、2015年クレモナ国際トリエンナーレでは審査員も務めた。1978年バニャカヴァッロ製作コンクール金メダル、1981年ヴィエニャフスキ・コンクール銀メダル、1985年クレモナ国際トリエンナーレ ヴィオラ部門金メダルなど受賞歴多数。現在はALIおよびEILAの会員として活動。伝統と技術を融合させた作品は国際的に高い評価を受けている。
