Building a business and running it successfully for a hundred years is a remarkable achievement.For over 25 years now, I have valued my collaboration with Mr.Okada as a reliable and esteemed business partner. In September of this year, I had the great pleasure of meeting Mr.Okada again, together with his son Koki Okada, at Mondo Musica in Cremona.I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the many years of trusting cooperation and wish Tatsunoya Co. Ltd. continued success and all the best – for the next 100 years and beyond!

Josef P. Gabriel, geboren 1960 in Erlangen, hat nach der Schule erst eine Ausbildung zum Energiegeräteelektroniker bei Siemens absolviert. Nach dem Abschluss der Lehre begann er 1982 bei Alfons Riedel in Bubenreuth seine Ausbildung zum Bogenmacher und blieb auch während der Gesellenzeit in dessen Werkstatt.
1987 legte er die Meisterprüfung zum Bogenmacher ab und eröffnete im gleichen Jahr seine eigene Werkstatt im elterlichen Haus in Erlangen. Da die Räumlichkeiten dort sehr beengt waren, ist er 2001 mit seiner Werkstatt nach Erlangen Kosbach umgezogen.

1960年エアランゲン生まれ。1982-1984年にブーベンロイトでAlfons Riedelに師事し研鑽を積む。1987年にマイスター試験に合格し、故郷エルランゲンに工房を開設。多数の国際コンクールで受賞し1992年マンチェスターでチェロ弓部門 銀メダル、1993年ミッテンヴァルトでヴィオラ弓部門 金メダル、1996年アメリカVSAでチェロ弓部門 金メダルを獲得。1997年にはミッテンヴァルトでヴァイオリン弓部門 銀メダル、チェロ弓 銅メダルも受賞している。2001年に工房をエルランゲン・コスバッハへ移転し現在も製作活動を続けている。
