Violin EXPO 2025

Simon Guillaume is a dedicated bowmaker who crafts exceptional bows for violin, viola, and cello. Originally from Belgium, Simon was immersed in the world of bow making from a young age, learning the craft under the guidance of his father, Pierre Guillaume, in Brussels. Deeply rooted in the French bow-making tradition, Simon’s passion for bows continues to shape and inspire his work today.
Simon’s expertise has been honed through years of training and experience in renowned workshops around the world. His journey includes two years in Barcelona, one year in Paris, five years at Maison Bernard in Brussels, and most recently, two years in New York City. Throughout his career, Simon has had the privilege of working on some of the finest and most historically significant bows ever made. This invaluable hands-on experience, paired with a deep understanding of diverse bow-making traditions, has shaped him into a highly skilled craftsman with a refined eye for detail.

シモン・ギヨームは、ヴァイオリン、ビオラ、チェロ用の優れた弓を製作する、献身的な弓職人です。ベルギー出身のシモンは、幼少期からブリュッセルで父ピエール・ギヨームの指導を受け、弓製作の技術を学んだ。フランスの弓製作の伝統に深く根ざした彼の弓製作への情熱は、今もなお彼の作品の原動力となっています。
シモンの専門知識は、世界中の著名な工房での長年の修行と経験を通して磨かれてきました。その経歴にはバルセロナで2年間、パリで1年間、ブリュッセルのメゾン・ベルナールで5年間、そして最近ではニューヨークでの2年間が含まれます。そのキャリアを通して、シモンは史上最高峰かつ歴史的に重要な弓の数々に携わる栄誉に恵まれてきました。この貴重な実践経験と、多様な弓製作の伝統への深い理解が相まって、彼は細部にまでこだわる洗練された感覚を持つ熟練した職人へと成長しました。
