Sandarac Genuine, in tears

Sandarac is found in North Africa. It is a resin that flows naturally or artificially from the trunk of the conifer plant Callitris quadrivalvis vent. It is a transparent resin with a pale amber color, and is completely soluble in alcohol and partially soluble in turpentine oil. Sandarac is used in many alcohol varnishes.
