Norbert Knappe

Born in Querfurt, Germany in 1964. In 1981 he began studying instrument making under Lother Sandner.

From 1985 he worked as an apprentice craftsman in various local workshops.

From 1991 to 1992 he worked with Bernd Hiller and passed the luthier's exam.

In 1993 he opened his own workshop.

It has a particularly large following in Asia, especially in Japan and Korea.
