Jörg Wunderlich

He was born in 1967 in Vogtland, Germany, into a family that has been involved in instrument making for generations. After graduating from school, he began studying instrument making under Eckart Richter in Markneukirchen. In 1990, he passed the string instrument maker's exam. In 1993 he opened his own workshop. He is particularly renowned for his varnishes, which he draws from his study of old Italian recipes.
