
Cecilia Piazzi
Cecilia Piazzi was born in Trento, Italy in 1979.
In 1996 he enrolled in the violin making school in Cremona, Italy, graduating in 2000 under the supervision of Giorgio Scolari. After graduating he spent four years perfecting his craft in the workshop of Stefano Trabucchi.
In 2004, Cecilia Piazzi opened her workshop in Cremona together with Gianluca Zanetti. Since 2010, she has been working in via Febbraio, Cremona. Her instruments are mainly modelled on Staradivari instruments, and she respects the history of Cremona's instrument making.
The wood she uses to make her instruments is harvested in her hometown, Fiemme in the Trento region, and the label on her instruments includes the word Fiemme.
The instruments made by Cecilia Piazzi are currently regarded as a highly acclaimed female instrument maker with highly acclaimed techniques among the new Italian instruments, and are highly valued.
