
Dario Segala
Born February 14, 1960 in Sernida, Minnesota.
After graduating from high school, he attended the Civic School of Violin Making in Milan, Italy, where he studied string instrument making with Maestro Renato Scrollavezza until 1983.
Dario Segala has his own workshop in Verbania where he makes instruments such as violins, violas and cellos, and also adjusts and repairs instruments for performers who need his adjustments.
Dario Segala has also received many awards, including the Foschi Award at the LST National Competition held in Baveno in 1987, when he was the youngest recipient of the award.
Later, in 1989, he won prizes in both the violin and cello categories at the International String Instrument Eisaku Competition held in Mittenwald, Germany.
He has since won many awards in various competitions, and in 1999 he finally won first prize in the cello category at the International String Instrument Competition held in Baveno.
