Giorgio Scalmati

Born in 1938.
He was a pupil of Gio Batta Morassi and worked in the workshop of Buruno Barbieri. Influenced by the works of modern manufacturers in Mantua, he established his own model.

He has won awards in numerous competitions, starting with the BAVENO International Competition in 1991, followed by the BUDAPEST Competition in 1993 and the MOSCOW TCHAIKOVSKY Competition in 1994.
