F. Gunter Hoyer

Born in 1926.

Before the Second World War, he trained as a brass instrument maker under Otto Weller in Markneukirchen.

After the war, he retrained under his father, Hermann Albert Hoyer, to make bass bows, and in 1949 he became a master.

The following year he opened his own workshop in Markneukirchen, where he remains to this day.
