It is always a great honour to make a bow for Tatsunoya Co., Ltd., but it is an even greater honour to make a bow to celebrate such an incredible and unique event as a century of existence. I would like to thank Tatsunoya Co., Ltd. for their trust over the years and I hope to continue the tradition of French bow making for many years to come.
Victor BERNARD was born in 1985 near Paris, France.
After being graduated from the Newark School of Violin Making in England, passionate about bow making, he multiplied work experiences with renon bowmakers in Europe.
In 2014, he joined the Atelier Flagey in Brussels and work alongside with violinmaker Joanne Van Bosterhaut.
Victor is an organiser member of Ekho in Belguim and Klanggestalten in Germany, associations created for the promotion of contemporary violin and bow making through exhibitions, concerts, masterclasses, conferences.
He is regularly taking part in international bow making exhibitions, Belgium, France, Germany, England, Ireland, United States, Japan...
He has won six gold medals at the Violin Society of America Competition enabling him to obtain the status of Hors Concours, first prize bow making Competition Viola's Paris, one gold medal, two silver and one bronze at the Mittenwald International Bow making Competition in Germany.
