On the occasion of the centenary of the prestigious TATSUNOYA CO.,LTD, I had the immense honor of being commissioned to create a quartet of bows to enrich their exceptional collection.
This quartet, crafted especially for this celebration, bears the hot-stamped mark “EXPO 2025” and remains a unique piece in the world.
I wish TATSUNOYA CO.,LTD many more years of remarkable activity, and I express my deepest gratitude for the trust and esteem they have shown me.
We are extremely honored to have been commissioned to create the Quartet bow to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Tatsunoya Shokai Co., Ltd. The commemorative bow will be stamped with "EXPO 2025" and will shine as a special, one-of-a-kind piece. We would like to express our sincere gratitude for the trust and kindness you have shown us so far, and we wish your company continued success in the future.
Pierre NEHR
In September 1995, at the age of sixteen, I began my apprenticeship with my brother Jean-Pascal in Marseille, where I stayed for five years.
I obtained my degree in bow-making in Mirecourt in 1998.
In 2002, I opened my own workshop in Paris to focus on crafting bows of my own creation and restoring old bows for various luthiers, dealers, and international collectors.
In the summer of 2024, after more than 20 years spent in Paris, I returned to the Aix-en-Provence area to settle there and dedicate myself exclusively to the creation of my bows.
All my bows are entirely handmade, as is the tradition in France. My work is influenced by the great French masters of the 19th century, to whom I add my personal touch.
My bows are played worldwide by orchestral musicians, chamber musicians, soloists, and collectors.
