Gilles Nehr

Born in 1975.

At the age of 16, he became fascinated by his uncle Jean-Pascal Nehr's bow making and became his apprentice, graduating from the Mirecourt bow making school at the age of 19.

He then worked in the workshop of Stephan Muller in Toulouse, and two years later in the workshop of Rene Morel in New York.

In 1999, he left Morel's studio and opened his own studio in Manhattan, where he began selling his own bows.

In 2002 he returned to Europe and opened a new workshop in Lisbon, but since 2008 he has lived in Berlin.
